Circad Develops System for Monitoring Footfall at Multiple Remote Locations
Posted on 12th December 2011
Councils need to know how many visitors they have to each of their libraries, but currently a member of staff manually counts visitors then emails results. Circad were asked to automate the process and the central collection of results through a turnkey electronics design and electronics manufacture contract.
We developed a counter that comprised a box build of custom pcb assembly with remote monitoring via mobile or wifi communication to a database hosted on a web server. This enabled multiple libraries footfall to be monitored from a remote location without any human interaction.
