New Surface Mount Machine Supports Complex PCB Assembly
Posted on 29th June 2023
Circad’s next generation pick and place electronics manufacturing line is now fully operational with the commissioning of a new I-Pulse S20 surface mount machine from Yamaha which greatly enhances printed circuit assembly, especially of units of a more complex PCB design.
These machines are versatile, highly flexible and efficient. All I-Pulse surface mount machines have state-of-the-art features such as vision processing. They can handle large format PCB’s and small component sizes. With a capacity of 45,000 components per hour, it will greatly enhance PCB manufacturing volumes and the handling of more complex PCB designs and assemblies.
They comprise Circad’s third pick and place line and future plans include a further stencil printer to provide additional capacity and resilience.
PCB Assembly Investment Improves Capacity and Lead Times
Circad CEO Gavin Howlett commented “Circad’s continued growth is based on providing exemplary service and high quality. We never want to compromise these in the interest of growth so we continue to invest in assets that can improve capacity and lead times.” Gavin continued “As a specialist UK PCB manufacturer, we now have the ability to update and adapt as future needs develop.”
Circad can support your development from product re-engineering, pre-production prototypes through to volume PCB fabrication. Contact Us and one of our team will be happy to discuss how we can help.
