Remote Monitoring and Control of Temperature via SMS

Circad were asked to develop a system for a motor home manufacturer that allowed a motor home owner easy long distance remote control of their heating. The electronics design used SMS messages sent to and from the mobile home to control the heating.
We created an SMS heating controller using english SMS text messages which also sends messages back from the mobile home. This allows mobile home users to check the temperature and control the heating, and receive warnings when the leisure battery voltage is low, or there is a heating system warning.
